Sam Milby on chasing his Hollywood dream: ‘It makes you a better artist’

<div><img src='' alt='102915-SAM_main.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='left' border='0'>Sam Milby took the time off from Philippine showbiz recently and flew to the US to give his Hollywood dream a shot. According to the actor, going through various auditions, the whole experience itself, has been a massive learning experience for him.</div><div><br/></div><div>“For me one of the greatest things I still really appreciate is the experience that you get. I took some classes and being in front of the camera, right in front of your face, dealing with nervousness, doing an audition, you will learn a lot from the experience. It makes you a better artist,” he said in an interview with <i>StarStudio</i> magazine for its November issue.</div><div><br/></div><div>The actor stayed in the US for three months but was not able to land a job but he believes it is all part of the process. “Even established artists there (in the US) take time to audition. The people, the networking, are invaluable. When I was in Los Angeles, kasabay ko sina Mandy Moore, Jamie Chung and these are big-time actors.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Will he still give his Hollywood dream another shot? “I still want to pursue it.<i> Pero siyempre may mga </i>commitments <i>ako dito sa</i> Philippines.<i> Pero kung may</i> time<i> pwede akong pumunta doon para maka</i>-attend <i>ng</i> classes, I will<i> kasi ko rin mag</i>-grow,” he said.</div><div><br/></div><div>Sam is now back in the Philippines doing various projects. He is presently celebrating his 10th year in showbiz. Amid his many successes in the entertainment industry, Sam is happy when he hears people say how he remained humble throughout his journey.</div><div><br/></div><div>“I appreciate the fact that it’s been 10 years<i> na</i> and then<i> ang bilis ng</i> turn-over <i>sa</i> showbiz. <i>Pero </i>at the same time, I like to think that I haven’t changed in some ways.
