Director Mae Cruz Alviar commends the performance of LizQuen in 'Everyday I Love You'
Director Mae Cruz Alviar remarked that she is satisfied and happy with the performances of Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano in their upcoming film Everyday I Love You.
The blockbuster director said that the LizQuen pair definitely transformed in this film.
"They did it well. They really delivered in this project. I am very happy with their performance kahit na alam kong mahirap for them. We were able to come up with something new and they have evolved from their past project."
She added, "I can say that in this project, yes they've leveled up, yes they matured and one thing about them, what's unique about the love team, kaya talaga nila 'yung rom-drama (romantic-drama). They have that certain maturity na kaya nila 'yung mas malalim."
The director was all praises for how Liza managed to be convincing in her role as a 21-year old woman in the movie. "Even she's still 17, she can hack those roles na mas may hugot at mas may lalim," she said.
Enrique also had to do some big adjustments in the movie. Direk Mae shared, "First day pa lang dumudugo na 'yung ilong niya, hirap na hirap siya to keep still kasi talagang as a person he's so energetic. [Sabi ko], 'First upright and then 'yung pagsalita mo don't eat your words, stop bobbing your head.' So it was very hard for him. But he was able to pull it off kahit hirap na hirap siya and he like the challenge he liked that he is playing somebody so different from him and natutuwa ako na when we were watching 'yung mga na-shoot na namin na I am seeing the character and not the person."
