Working closely together with an ex-boyfriend has never been a problem with Dawn and her politician husband Anton Lagdameo. "Well I think normal din naman talaga sa isang lalake na kahit papaano baka ma-affect din siya ng konti. Pero mature naman kasi my husband and nakikita naman niya na na-a-appreciate ng mga tao yung tambalan namin onscreen ni Richard. So for my husband na-appreciate din niya na ang ganda nga naman at ganun talaga yung trabaho namin so nahihiwalay niya na yan ang persona ko pag kasama ko si Richard,” she explained.
In the series, Dawn plays the mother of three children played by Jessy Mendiola, Sam Concepcion, and Paul Salas. But early on in the story her youngest son is kidnapped when her eldest daughter runs away from home. Working with the controversial Kapamilya actress, Dawn did not deny that she has noticed that Jessy seems problematic. "Well, oo nakakaramdam din naman kami pero hindi naman si Jessy makuwento eh. Pinakikiramdaman ko lang. If she wants to talk to someone or if she wants to ask me anything, then she’s always welcome to do that,” she shared.
Having started work on You’re My Home late last year, Dawn said she has gotten close to the cast which is why she noticed the change in Jessy lately. "Nakapangalawang pasko na nga kami eh (laughs). Because we started last December so nag-Christmas party kami so mag-kri-Christmas party na naman kami! Ngayon napansin ko lang si Jessy na very serious, very quiet. She likes to sit by herself. Kung kunyari nag-pe-prepare lang kaming lahat,” she admitted. When asked what kind of advice she could offer Jessy, Dawn said she does not have the right to share anything specific. "I wouldn’t know what advice to give her until I know kung ano yung pinagdadaanan niya. I only have a hunch but I’m not going to speculate,” she said.
Watch Dawn Zulueta along with Richard Gomez, Jessy Mendiola, JC De Vera, Assunta de Rossi, Paul Salas, Sam Concepcion, Mika de la Cruz, Lara Quigaman, Tonton Gutierrez, and Jobelle Salvador in You’re My Home starting November 9 on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida.
