Enrique Gil shared that he had to do major adjustments in his new movie titled Everyday I Love You. The actor relayed that his character in the film is far different from who he is in real life.
"They wanted to change me parang sinabi [nila] 'Basta gusto namin sobrang ibang Enrique, stiff and huwag masyadong ngumiti.' Some words pa nga hindi ko pwedeng sabihin like 'okay', 'alright', as in bawal, no-no talaga. Mga ganon, may mga keywords na sinabi na hindi pwedeng sabihin talaga."
He admitted that it was difficult initially adapting to his role in this new movie, but he later figured out how to portray his role effectively.
"Oo [difficult ang adjustments] sobra. Si direk Mae (Cruz) minsan [sabi] 'O huwag kang gagalaw. Kiti kiti ka talaga.' Pero nakabantay naman si direk Mae. I just find it funny and ang hirap pala talaga kasi don ka sanay eh, that's your natural movement but you need to change pero medyo nasanay na ako in a way. Pag nasa set na ako or umuuwi na ako sa taping parang mas chill na ako and tsaka you get used to it," he said.
After their successful team-up in Forevermore and Just the Way You Are, Enrique is working again with actress Liza Soberano. Enrique has been vocal lately about his feelings for Liza. Now that the actress is set to celebrate her 18th birthday, what is his gift for her?
"Meron na, malapit na 'yung present pero may gift rin akong ibibigay na feeling ko kailangan niya," he revealed.
Enrique further relayed, "Dalawa kasi 'yung gift ko sa kanya eh, ang isa secret, 'yung isa alam na niya kasi siyempre kailangan kong tanungin kung kailangan din niya. 'Yung isa alam na niya 'yung isa secret pa."
