Jessy Mendiola still does not want to confirm or deny break up with JM De Guzman.
After her last soap Maria Mercedes ended in 2014, Jessy Mendiola admitted she made sure she was really prepared for the family drama You’re My Home which they started shooting in December 2014 along with her new co-stars JC De Vera, RIchard Gomez, Dawn Zulueta and director Jerry Lopez Sineneng. "Sobrang
preparation dito at saka
we really had to step up a lot especially with the casting and our director. So this show is not your typical drama. Kailangan mo maging
at par sa
caliber ng mga
actresses na makakatrabaho mo
. So siyempre marami akong eksena na kasama yung
parents ko na si
Richard and Dawn so nakakakaba din
,” she revealed during the You’re My Home
grand presscon held last October 21 at the newly refurbished Dolphy theater inside ABS-CBN.
As a self-confessed fan of the CharDawn love team herself, Jessy said it was an honor to play their eldest daughter in the new Kapamilya series.
In You’re My Home, Jessy plays Grace Fontanilla, the eldest child of the family who blames herself for the kidnapping of her younger brother Vince. Her character grows up feeling guilty for breaking up her family after her sibling disappeared.
The 22-year-old actress said it wasn’t hard for her to find inspiration for the role even if she has never experienced her character’s family problems. So pag dito, siguro yun yung lumabas,” she explained.
When asked about her personal life, Jessy chose to answer indirectly about who supports her and that it is her family that is her main inspiration for now. Kaya You’re My home yung title kasi nagsisimula sa bahay. Hindi pa naman ako kinakasal. Family na lang muna,” she said.
When asked if she still has a love life after reports surfaced that she and JM De Guzman had parted ways again, the Kapamilya actress chose to give a cryptic answer. So yun lang. Huwag na natin masyado pag-usapan,” she added.
Don’t miss the premiere of You’re My Home
on November 9 on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida.
