Robin Padilla responds to Karen Davila calling Mayor Rodrigo Duterte as ‘The man who could’ve been president’
Breaking his two-month Instagram hiatus, Robin Padilla defended Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte’s decision not to file a Certificate of Candidacy (COC) to run as president on Friday, October 16.
Robin’s post came a few hours after supporters of the feisty mayor waited the entire day for the latter to revoke his original COC, which states that he’s running for a reelection in Davao.
In fact, the disappointing move for many inspired a series of hashtags on various social media platforms such as “#Dutertezoned” and “#DuterteSerye.”
The action star’s post came with a caption addressed to Bandila news anchor Karen Davila.
“Mam @iamkarendavila mayor duterte/el cid has no problem with being president if he wants, the truth and the problem is the People who are pushing him to run, obviously they do not know him,not even an IDEA of the drastic change he is talking about.....we cannot achieve change because of anarchy, we have tried that and again and again ..... Mayor duterte believes in the Revolution and the Filipino people are not ready (sic),” he said.
His post appeared to be a response to what Karen said recently about the Mayor which he also commented on his Facebook account.
Robin has been a staunch supporter of the Davao City Mayor that he even lauded musician Chito Miranda who wanted to offer his support for the latter pro bono amid an offer to tweet about a different politician for P2million.
