On Tonight with Boy Abunda, KZ Tandingan was asked whether or not Matteo Guidicelli ever courted her.
KZ Tandingan, who now is known as just KZ (for better recall), is currently in a relationship with fellow musician TJ Monterde who she says is very understanding. The couple met through a gathering of musicians, and has now been together for eight months. At one point during the interview she was asked to describe TJ in one word. She answered, “Love.”
On whether or not Matteo ever courted her, KZ said, “No. But we used to be very close friends. As in yung halos araw-araw nag-uusap na close friends.”
Boy Abunda further asked, “Sabi mo nga kanina, nagpaparamdam na si TJ pero hindi mo pa rin alam. Was this the same case? Baka nagpaparamdam na si Matteo, di mo lang na-notice?”
KZ said, “Hindi eh, kasi sabi naman niya hindi.”
She was previously interviewed by The Buzz on whether or not Matteo was courting her and when she informed him regarding the interview, he asked her what her answer was. She jokingly said, “Oo.” And according to her, he replied, “Hindi ah!”
During the segment Fast Talk, KZ was asked to choose between Matteo and TJ. She chose the latter.
KZ also talked about her current stint as one of the regulars of the current season of Your Face Sounds Familiar. She admitted to having frustrations at first especially as, “(…) parang nakakulong ka sa kung ano lang yung pwedeng gawin mo kasi ganito lang ginagawa ng artist na ginagaya mo, and at the same time kailangang makita ng mga tao na nag-eenjoy ka sa performance mo.” Although to date, KZ has been doing so much better on the show with the help of the crew who encourage her to just enjoy her every performance.
Furthermore, she shared her experience with the Academy of Rock in Singapore (one of the most respected schools in Asia), where she recorded a number of songs. One of which is collaboration with a British rapper, which is to be a part of an album that the Academy will release internationally. The Academy also produced a song for her second album. A version of which will be released in Singapore.
When asked whether or not she is ready to leave the Philippines, she said, “hindi naman po leave. If I’m given the opportunity to represent the Philippines in the international music scene, bakit hindi po, diba? It’s time for OPM to penetrate the international music scene.”
