Apart from working on their top-rated primetime soap On the Wings of Love, James Reid and Nadine Lustre said they are also looking forward to being part of the comedy Beauty and the Bestie starring Coco Martin and Vice Ganda. "First time kasi namin mag-MMFF so hindi pa namin alam kung ano yung feeling pero super excited ako. Pero before nakatrabaho ko na si Vice sa Petrang Kabayo. This is a comedy naman,” Nadine shared.
Another factor they are excited about is getting the chance to work with Coco Martin for the very first time. "Actually unang una kaming nagkausap sa London sa after party nung ASAP. Tapos nung Showtime nagbibigay siya ng mga tips sa amin. Super bait ni kuya Coco. At saka he’s excited for us. Isang beses pa lang ako nakapag-shoot tapos with James and Marco (Masa) atsaka si Alonzo (Muhlach) so hindi ko pa nakakasama si Vice and si Coco,” she relayed.
James reacted to the news that Coco Martin reportedly refused to play his sibling in the Metro Manila Film Fest entry because he spoke too much English. The On the Wings of Love heartthrob said he is always willing to adjust if it would make Coco more comfortable around him. "Siguro mas kumportable lang siya kay Nadine kasi ma-Tagalog. Ako yung nag-adjust para sa kanya. When I’m around him as much as possible nag-ta-Tagalog ako. I’m excited to work with Coco Martin. Ang bait niya,” he shared.
With their characters Leah and Clark building up even more romantic tension on the show, the two stars admit they are excited for their fans (called “OTWOListas”) to watch episodes that have their roles back in the Philippines and trying to win over Leah’s family and community. James admitted one of the funniest scenes he’s done for the show was when his character got drunk drinking with Leah’s father and neighbors. "I think this time around, the joke’s on Clark. The first time Leah had a hard time adjusting pero ngayon nililigawan ni Clark si tatang niya. Si tatang Sol he’s palabiro so he’s always messing with Clark. It’s really funny,” he said.
Nadine also shared that another reason why she is even happier is the news that On the Wings of Love has officially extended its run until February 2016. The Kapamilya actress takes this as a sign that all their hard work is paying off. "Kung na-extend it only means we are doing well din so super happy lang ako sa pagtanggap ng lahat ng mga tao. And super excited pa kami. Actually until now we’re not sure what’s going to happen so we’re also super excited for you guys na mas kiligin pa, mas umiyak pa or mas kiligin,” she added.
