He first shared how he met the half-British, half-Pinay model. “<a href='http://entertainment.abs-cbn.com/tv/shows/kristv/videos/2015/10/13/10141511-enchong-and-sam-lewis-firsts'>Sa fashion show sa isang event tapos parang lumapit lang ako na, which I don’t do. Alam mo, sabi nga sa akin ng kapatid ko ‘Kuya you got game pala’ sabi ng kapatid ko sa akin yung mas bata. Oo [first time to approach first] kasi sabi ko nga thinking out loud, ‘Okay to a, cute nito’ tapos sabi ko ‘Hi I’m ganito ganyan can I have your Instagram account?’ tapos parang everything’s so fluid</a>.” He also described Sam as a very understanding girlfriend. “Sobrang understanding kapag ano, well siyempre hindi mo maiiwasan selosa pero alam mo yung naaayos niyo kunyari ako meron akong hindi naiintindihan sa kanya ie-explain niya sayo. Fluent [in Tagalog] thank God talaga.” He said that he asked for her number through a common friend. “<a href='http://entertainment.abs-cbn.com/tv/shows/kristv/videos/2015/10/13/10141510-how-enchong-met-his-girlfriend-sam-lewis'>First time ko siyang ma-meet doon [sa event] tapos first time ko siyang nakilala. Yung unang text ko sabi ko ‘I hope it doesn’t sound creepy pero I’m Enchong ako yung nag-approach sayo last night</a>’,” he shared. Enchong and Sam are celebrating their second anniversary this March, and he appreciates having a relationship with a non-showbiz woman. “I think ‘yun ‘yung kagandahan kapag non-showbiz all of a sudden, ‘Ah two years na kayo?’ parang ganun. I guess we’re both 26 and parang nasa same wavelength kami working tapos understanding.” “It’s a different case for us kasi nga she’s not from the business tapos parang mas madali and yun naman yung gusto ko talaga. Sabi ko I wanna look for someone who’s not from the business.”
