Assunta de Rossi is set to star in the upcoming Kapamilya teleserye You’re My Home. According to the actress, her role in the soap is far different from the previous characters she has portrayed before. “Very interesting ang role ko dito. I play the role of Jackie… I can’t reveal too much. Noong pinanood ko ‘yung trailer they told me, ‘Hindi ka muna namin isasama kasi secret ka pa.’ Mabait ako dito, hindi ako kontrabida,” she shared in an interview with Push.com.ph.
The members of the cast include Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta and Assunta has nothing but good words for the remarkable love team. Though she rarely does a scene with them, she said that she truly admires their acting skills. “Hindi ko sila nakaka-work masyado kasi magkaiba kami [pero] later on magcro-cross’ yung paths namin. So I haven’t had the chance to work with them every single day but yeah magkakakilala naman kaming tatlo, si Goma (Richard) alam naman nating magaling na artista si Dawn don din, super beautiful grabe,” she said.
On going back to acting, Assunta remarked that she is ecstatic about being part of the teleserye. “It’s parang it’s great, it’s been great kasi nga hindi pa ako naka-experience ng teleserye ng from start to finish kasi lagi akong nawawala so parang nawawalan ng momentum. Iba ‘yung talagang pagtuloy-tuloy but then again even before this nakaka-guest din naman ako ng MMK(Maalaala Mo Kaya) ganyan, same team naman ‘yan eh kaya suki nila ako ‘yun but yeah nakaka-excite na gumawa ng teleserye kasi I don’t do it that often naman,” she stated.
She further added that it’s been a while that she has been part of a drama project. “The last time na nagkaroon ako ng show was last year pa that’s Wansapanataym eh, anim na linggo lang ‘yun so iba talaga ‘yung part ka talaga ng teleserye at parang yet ‘yung character mo hindi mawawala hanggang hindi natatapos kaya masaya,” she said.
Whenever she has spare time from her current busy schedule, Assunta shared that she tries to learn new skills and spend time with her loved ones. “Nag-aaral din ako ng dressmaking, I also want to be a violinist. And I get to go out with my friends, hang out with my sister and to be with my family,” she said.
