EXCLUSIVE: Eric ‘Eruption’ Tai reveals reason behind absence from ‘It’s Showtime’
010915-erictai_main.jpgEric “Eruption” Tai shared the reason behind his brief hiatus from It’s Showtime. In an exclusive in interview with Push.com.ph, Eruption revealed that he needed to fix his working visa.  “It was a learning experience and a great experience at the same time. I was able to I guess find myself within the last couple of months dahil maraming nangyari eh first off it was the fact that I had to fix my papers to be able to comeback to It’s Showtime and biglaan.”

He relayed that the process was not easy since he needed to acquire his papers overseas to complete his working requirements here in the Philippines. “That process took a very long time to get my stuff from New Zealand which are the papers ‘yung parang NBI so I had to get the NBI and I had to get these different types of clearances and papers which was time consuming talaga kaya from there. kaya medyo tumagal ‘yung proseso kasi ‘yung pag abot ko rin sa Bureau of Immigration matagal din.”

Eruption shared that while he was working on his papers, he was able to find time to prepare for his upcoming wedding with his fiancé Rona in March 2015. “At the same time habang wala ako [sa It’s Showtime] I was able to fix my papers sa wedding, sa kasal namin, yung pre-nup shoot namin, lahat. Kasi sayang yung time na ‘yun so I was able to do those things while I was away, wedding preparations kasi ‘yung wedding namin sa March na talaga, March 6,” he stated.

He added, “So I had to do all these things hindi pwede maging stagnant sa buhay, if something happens you really got to do things and try to fix thing para pagdating ng araw you're ready na, handang -anda ka na and that was the lesson that I learned also to always try to be prepared and a lesson to always fix your papers.”

Eruption relayed that the validity of his renewed working visa is one year and before it expires this year, he will be applying for permanent residency. “Because ‘yung si Rona she’s Filipina and American so she’s dual so I’m ready na. It will be after one year I could be a permanent resident na of the Philippines, magkakaroon na ng citizenship if ever but after one year derecho na ‘yung from last year December all the way to this year 2015 December okay na. Pagdating ng 2015 August dapat mag-ready na to renew na for December para pagdating ng December derecho na, I don’t have to be away from Showtime. I could prepare three months in advance.”
