Is Clarence Delgado planning to leave showbiz after Goin’ Bulilit?
012815-clarence_main.jpgTen-year-old Clarence Delgado has been with Goin’ Bulilit for four years now and in in two years’ time will finally graduate from the kiddie gag show. Asked if he is emotionally ready to graduate, he answered, “Konti lang po… Kaya naman po.”
 
After Goin’ Bulilit, does Clarence want to continue his acting career? “Hindi na po, magstop po muna. Continue po muna sa pag-aaral,” he shared and added that he will just return after he finishes college. However, he said, “Pero kung tatagal pa po yung Home Sweetie Home, [tuloy] pa rin.”

According to him, this is a personal decision. “Kasi po minsan natataranta po ako o naguguluhan pag pinagsabay ko po yung ano ko po school ko po saka pag-aartista.” Clarence, whose family has a bakery business, said that his parents taught him to make decisions for his own good.
 
Clarence also admitted that though he also wants to be like other child actors who evolved into teen stars. “Gusto naman po kaso nga lang, may konting pag-aayaw eh.” However, he clarified that he is happy with what he is doing now and said that they are just like family.
 
Clarence, who prefers tapings over commercial shoots, admitted that he will miss being an actor if ever he decides to take a vacation from showbiz. “Siyempre po, mamimiss. Mamimiss po yung mga staff, yung mga directors.

He also revealed that he will especially miss Direk Bobot Mortiz, the creator of Goin’ Bulilit. “Siya po yung dahilan kung bakit po ko nandito,” remembering that after he emerged as the winner of Star Circle Quest in 2011, the director signed him up for the show.

He said that being on Goin’ Bulilit is a dream come true for him. Clarence, who has done teleseryes before, admitted that he really wants to do comedy. However, the child actor also admitted that Direk Bobot does not know about his plans yet as this is the first time he talked about it.  
 
Even though Clarence may be offered a good project by then such as a love team or a show of his own, he said he will still proceed with his plans. He shared that he wants to study at Philippine Science High School. Clarence, who currently studies in Immaculate Conception Cathedral School, is an honor student.
 
Aside from being an actor, Clarence shared that he also wants to work abroad where the pay is better, not that his talent fee here isn’t. His ambition is to become a doctor. Clarence, who is in Grade 4, said that he is good in Math and Computer.  
 

012815-clarence_main.jpgWhen asked if he wants to be like John Lloyd Cruz and Piolo Pascual in the future, he replied, “Ayaw po kasi po hindi ko naman po pinapangarap na maging ganun po ako kasikat. Gusto ko po yung simple lang po.”

He also said he does not want thousands of fans because, “Ayoko pong lumaki ulo ko. Gusto ko po kahit pag sumikat po ako, sabi daw po ng mommy ko, gusto daw po niya wag daw po mag-iiba yung ugali ko. Yung ugali ko na simple lang dapat sa mga ibang tao.

Meanwhile, Clarence expressed his delight that Goin’ Bulilit is celebrating its 10th anniversary while Home Sweetie Home is celebrating its first year. For Home Sweetie Home, Clarence shared that they went to Japan recently to celebrate the show’s anniversary. They stayed there for five days and it was his mother who accompanied him.
 
As for Goin’ Bulilit, he revealed that he played “bridge” between co-actor Izzy Canillo and Izzy’s supposed crush, Mitch Naco. He also admitted that he finds her ate Belinda Mariano pretty but denied that he has a specific crush.
