The international singing sensation spoke at length about feeling unappreciated in her own country.
For Charice, being part of the local showbiz industry is one tough battle. The international singing sensation spoke at length about feeling unappreciated and unloved in her mother country on her Instagram account last September 27.
Charice started.
The young singer, who started her career in a local talent competition in 2005 made waves abroad with appearances on American shows, some international hits, and sold-out concerts in and outside the country. She questioned that her achievements seemed insufficient for some.
” Charice said. Charice came out as a lesbian which led to her having a spat with her mother Raquel Pempengco which has thankfully been resolved lately.
Charice even added that she was often deemed arrogant for making it big abroad and that she was insulted “kasi daw mali-mali Ingles ko.” What’s worse is that, “May oras na puro laman ng news ay halos issues kaysa sa achievements na nakukuha ko.”
These incidents, according to Charice, has led her to become reclusive to some people saying that, “Kaya kung minsan, nandun yung oras na, parang may wall ako sa harap ko. Straight lang mukha ko. Kasi ayoko na nung time na inaapi at pinagtatawanan ako. Gusto ko may respeto kahit kaunti.”
Yet amid all the things she has experienced and is continuously experiencing in showbiz and from her bashers, Charice remains strong because of the people who genuinely love and support her.
However, despite being surrounded by such people, she admitted that she remains guarded especially whenever she performs because “Aminin natin na pag kumakanta na ako dito, nakakatakot buksan ang ibang social networks.
