Vice Ganda, who was dared by actress-host Kris Aquino, and news personalities Korina Sanchez and Doris Bigornia, took on the Ice Bucket Challenge in support of the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) awareness campaign after he performed Katy Perry’s “Hot and Cold” on It’s Showtime this Monday.
Kaya I took the challenge today at kahit ginawa ko ang challenge ay magdodonate pa din ako sa ALS Association,” the comedian explained after being dumped iced water on stage.
Vice continued and as tradition, nominated others who will do the challenge. And today I will nominate, I will nominate first Coco Martin. Second, I nominate Richard Yap. And then I nominate Direk Bobet Vidanes today!” he revealed.
Direk Bobet, who took the challenge on the spot, promised to still donate $100 to the foundation as well. Further, he challenged ‘Showtime’ mainstays, Jhong Hilario and Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia together to follow suit.
Billy and Coleen gamely accepted the challenge and while hugging each other, the “Showtime” couple was also drenched in cold, icy water. They then nominated their co-hosts, Anne Curtis, Karylle and Vhong Navarro to do the same.
Jhong, Anne, Karylle and Vhong have 24 hours to do the Ice Bucket Challenge.
