As one of the featured performers in Resorts World Manila's fifth year anniversary celebration dubbed Give Me 5, The Voice Kids Grand Champion Lyca Gairanod admitted she is still adjusting to life in the limelight. Minsan ‘pag tulog ako tapos gigisingin ako ni mama kunyari mag-tu-tulog tulugan ako para hindi na niya ako gisingin (laughs),” she shared during her media interview at the Genting Club.
The nine-year-old belter who entertained the crowd with her rousing rendition of “Narito Ako” was accompanied by her mother to the event. Lyca admitted that she has yet to move into her new house which she won from the contest, but is looking forward to do it soon along with her parents and seven siblings. The talented singer said she also has not had time to play with her playmates so she drops by to say hello whenever she misses them.
Lyca said she is happy to have met many celebrities who she can consider as new friends. The talented little girl described why DJ is her crush in showbiz. “Very happy siya. Mabait po siya at pag kami nag-se-selfie lagi siyang naka-salamin, ayaw niyang pinapakita yung mukha niya,” she added.
After recently receiving an iPad as a gift from Kris Aquino, Lyca said she immediately started using the gadget at home.
During the Give Me 5 event, Lyca said she usually practices with her favorite songs “Narito Ako” and “Halik.” Thank you po, Jesus,” she said.
When the press asked her about her makeup that day, she excitedly shared, “Ako naglagay nyan! Color pink yan. Kasi mini-makeup-an ako ni ate eh so ako naglagay ng lipstick ko. Oo meron ako lipstick minsan lang nababali. Minsan puti kasi lip gloss lang para hindi ako mamutla,” she said.
