Push lists down the most bankable reel love teams of all time whose inherent onscreen chemistry allowed them to rule not only their fans’ hearts but also the box office and TV ratings.
1. Gabby Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta
Sharon and Gabby’s pairing was a favorite in the ‘80s as shown by the success of their films Dear Heart and PS I Love You. The partnership carried over into the real life when they married in 1983 and had their only child together KC Concepcion. Unfortunately, Sharon and Gabby’s off-screen chemistry didn’t last long and they parted ways in 1987. Despite that, they maintained their onscreen chemistry as proven by the success of their 1991 reunion movie Una Kang Naging Akin together with Dawn Zulueta.
2. Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta
Like the previous love team, Richard and Dawn also took their onscreen chemistry to the next level by being in a relationship. Their first drama Hihintayin Kita sa Langit in 1991 brought them into the spotlight. Even Richard’s own wife Lucy Torres is a big fan of their pairing. Richard and Dawn managed to earn the title the “Eternal Love Team” when their chemistry was tested anew in the 2012 drama series Walang Hanggan.
Their reunion almost two decades later even inspired Dawn’s name to become a verb—I-Dawn Zulueta mo ako—which came about after a guest appearance with Richard on Gandang Gabi Vice where the former matinee idol swept her up in his arms and twirled her around.

It's not very common for stars to stay in a strong love team for 12 years and counting and not be in a relationship. But this was exactly the case between John Lloyd and Bea. Their love team continuously dominated the box office each time they make a movie even after being paired with other stars in between projects.
The two were first paired in the 2002 soap Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay when Bea was just 15 while John Lloyd was 18. Even if they admitted somehow falling in love with each other during different times in the span of their onscreen partnership, the two never really became an item. Part of the tandem’s charm many attribute to their palpable adoration for each other which they both confirmed when they admitted to be exclusively dating early this year.
