Matt Evans admits he is also happy to be a stepfather to a seven-year-old boy.
After getting married in October last year after a five-month whirlwind romance, Matt Evans said he is excited to become a daddy again soon to his first child with Katrina Farinas. “Yes, anytime actually pero ang
due date niya talaga
is July 14. Sobrang
baby. I’m expecting a girl again. Kahit ano basta
” he said.
Matt also has a child with former live-in partner Johnelline Hickins. When asked if he plans to have more children with Katrina, he admitted he is open to the idea, “Marami pa namang pagkakataon,” he said during the Pure Love presscon held last June 26 inside the ABS-CBN compound.
Aside from adjusting to married life, Matt said he is also happy to step into the role of stepfather to Katrina's seven-year-old son. “Sobrang mabuti. Married life is very fine naman and sobrang happy and contented ako sa buhay ko.
The 25-year-old Pure Love actor revealed he now also gets to visit his first child after settling things with his former partner. “Yes nadadalaw ko naman and we’re good, settled na naman kami nung isa. Wala ng naging hassle kahit sa misis ko so everything is falling into place naman,” he said.
Matt said he believes he has not changed very much even though he wants to be the best husband and father that he can be to his growing family. So wala naman kaming hindi pinagkakasunduan,” he admitted.
As part of the local adaptation of the hit Koreanovela Pure Love, Matt plays the role of The Scheduler. Other cast members include Alex Gonzaga, Yen Santos, Arjo Atayde, Joseph Marco, Arron Villaflor, Yam Concepcion, and Anna Luna. Matt said he is very excited for the show's premiere airing date on July 6.
