Ellen Adarna says she is not yet ready to settle down

070314-ellen_main.jpgEllen Adarna said that she is not yet ready to tie the knot with her non-showbiz boyfriend. The Moon of Desire star stated that she still needs to be financially secure. “I’m not yet ready. I’ m still 26, maybe when I’m 30. I only want two kids, so no plans yet. But I can see myself ending up with him (her boyfriend) but there are still a lot of things that I need to fix like [financial] security, we both need to be stable, ‘yung mga ganong bagay. If all of that is set, I guess we can move on to marriage,” she said.

Despite the fact that her family has a thriving motel business in the province, Ellen said that she doesn’t want to depend on them, so she works really hard. “I never get anything from them and I never ask anything from them. I am on my own so hindi ko na lang iniisip ‘yun.

The model turned actress shared that she is still adjusting when it comes to acting. “Everyday is a challenge. I thought it gets better but it doesn’t kasi it’s always something different like that week akala mo okay ka na kasi heavy drama, yun pala [next week] mas malala.”

She shared that she used to take classes in order to improve her acting skills. “Before I really took one-on-one sessions for acting lessons. I hired a coach ‘yun ‘yung time na maraming oras pa kami kasi ngayon magfo-for airing na although sa taping day mas ito talaga ‘yung totoo kasi napipiga ka.”

Ellen said that she is thankful to ABS-CBN for giving her the opportunity to star in the afternoon soap Moon of Desire. After starring in the hit afternoon teleserye, more projects came pouring in for Ellen. “Thankful ako sa Moon of Desire kasi dito lang naman ako nakilala eh. Kung hindi dahil sa soap na ito, I don’t think kukunin ako [ng mga brands].”
