John Prats gives three tips on how to save and spend your money

So PUSH.com.ph asked John to share what he knows about managing the money he earns. </div></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><b>1. John says don’t let your money rot in the bank. </b></div><div style='text-align: center; '><img src='' alt='062414-JP1.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='center' border='0'><br/></div><div>Invest your money, advises John. “From my dad, ini-invest ko lahat ng pera ko sa business, family business. We do build and sell, so dun namin pinapaikot yung pera. Hindi kami pinalaki na kapag kumita ng pera, bangko lang siya or stock lang siya dun. Lagi nami pinapalago yung pera.”</div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><b>2. Before you buy something, ask whether you need it or you just want i</b>t. </div><div style='text-align: center; '><img src='https://push-data.abs-cbn.com/push/archive/features/2014/062414/IG/PUSH%20PIN/062414-JP2.jpg' alt='062414-JP2.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='center' border='0'><br/></div><div>Don’t buy stuff indiscriminately according to the Banana Split star. John says sometimes we don't realize we're blowing away a big chunk of our money on things we don't need. And if we put our money on those things, we lose the chance of making the money grow. He adds, 'Mas gusto ko pagulungin at palaguin ang pera.'</div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><div><b>3. Know when to treat yourself and when to hold back on spending.</b></div><div style='text-align: center; '><img src='https://push-data.abs-cbn.com/push/archive/features/2014/062414/IG/PUSH%20PIN/062414-JP3.jpg' alt='062414-JP3.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='center' border='0'><br/></div><div>John also says, splurging on yourself as a reward for hard work is okay. “Sometimes, masarap din na kapag sobra yung hardwork mo na ginawa, okay din yung kumuha ka ng gusto mo lang. Bigyan mo naman ng token ang sarili mo, but wag lagi kasi lugi e. Kapag marami ang pumasok na pera sayo pwede ka naman maglabas, kapag wala e tipid tipid ka muna.</div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div>
