Dani Barretto shares that the bashing stopped after she aired her side on ‘The Buzz.’
Daniella or Dani Barretto did not regret speaking up and airing her side on national television. Daniella relayed that after her interview with Boy Abunda in the Sunday talk show The Buzz, things got better for her. “After nong interview tumigil ‘yung pagba
-bash, ‘yung mga
haters ‘yung sa
social media accounts nag-stop ‘yun lahat
it got better right after the interview, surprisingly,” she shared.
She stressed that her interview was plainly about explaining her side and not to persuade people to believe her. “When I did the interview, it wasn't to make people believe me. It was more like [to] just clear my name and saying my piece. If maniwala sila, maniwala sila, if hindi, hindi, that’s their opinion. Ang sinabi ko naman galing ‘yun sa puso ko and ‘yon ‘yung point ko, ‘yon ‘yung side ko.”
Amidst the ongoing feud in their family, Dani said that all is well in their household. “Okay, okay ‘yung mommy ko, okay kaming lahat,” she stated. She shared that her mom was her major supporter when she decided to grant the interview. “Kausap ko siya parang support-support, parang sinasabi ng mommy ko na huwag akong matakot na sabihin ko ‘yung nararamdaman ko and ‘yun ganon naman ang mommy ko. Hindi naman siya ‘yung, ‘Sabihin mo ito, ‘yung ganyan, ganyan.’ Parang, ‘Sabihin mo kung anong gusto mong sabihin, sabihin mo, kung ano ‘yung nararamdaman mo kung ano ‘yung nasa puso mo,’” she said.
She also stressed that she never meant to hurt anyone when she explained her side and she was just defending her mom. “Well magkaiba ‘yun, ‘yung defending somebody and attacking somebody, ‘yung point ko is I was just defending my mom, wala akong intensyon na manakit ng tao,” she said.
In an interview with The Buzz earlier this June, Dani admitted that she received major backlash and hate posts on her social media accounts after aunt Claudine Barretto reacted to a tweet she posted defending her mom. “Actually after her interview haters were non-stop. Ang below the belt. ‘Wala kang modo. Mukha kang kabayo. Panget ka.’ So nagtweet ko. And she said na pinalaki niya kami, she said wala daw akong utang na loob. And dun na-offend ako for my mom because my mom never left. She was always here. Sinabi ko walang ibang nagpalaki sa amin kundi mommy ko. Dun siya nagalit. Then she tweeted. I did not mean to offend her,” Daniella said in the interview.
