Mae remarked that education is very vital to her. “Sobrang importante kasiyun na langyung hindi mawawala sa akin eh kumbaga paglaki koyun na talagayung kailangan ko talaga sa lahat ng bagay,” she said. Mae is currently taking up Culinary Arts.

She said she is open to doing commercials though. “Napag-usapan namin ng mom ko yan so okay naman sa kanya at okay din naman sa akin,” she said.

With Pokwang currently headlining a new movie titled My Illegal Wife, Mae expressed how proud she is of her mother. “Sobrang proud ako sa kanya na may ganito siyang movie ulit tapos feeling ko magiging successful ‘tong movie na ‘to.”

She also wished her mom to have more projects in the future. “I love you and I know you will do well and I know lahat na ginawa mo ng maayos ang movie nato so ‘yun lang thankful ako na may project kang ganito so sana more to come tapos yun lang,” was her message to Pokwang.

Mae recently celebrated her 18th birthday with Enrique Gil as part of her 18th roses entourage. She admitted that she was surprised when Enrique attended her debut. “Siyempre na-surprise ako at hindi ko alam na pupunta pala siya so nong nakita ko siya naging happy ako lalo, parang ganon, thankful ako na nakapunta siya.”

She relayed that Enrique is one of her crushes in showbiz. “Yeah he's my crush pero hindi naman kaganon na crush na crush,” she said.
