Baby Zion was actually born on April 29, 2013.
It was, as expected, a star-studded birthday party and christening for Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati's first-born son Zion Gutierrez, which happened Sunday, June 15 at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong.
The jungle-themed party with the official hashtag #ZionTheYoungLion saw khakis and animal prints as worn by the guests and godparents both from in and outside showbiz.
The 25 pairs of ninongs and ninangs include politicians like Vice President Jejomar Binay, Manila Mayor Erap Estrada, Senator Ping Lacson, San Vicente Palawan Mayor Pie Alvarez, Ilocos Sur Congressman Ronald Singson, Camarines Sur Governor LRay Villafuerte, Cebu Mayor Michael Rama, and celebrity politicians such as Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto and Leyte Congresswoman Lucy Torres-Gomez.
What occupied the majority of the godparents "list were of course stars from showbiz led by the late Fernando Poe Jr.'s wife, Susan Roces, Aga Muhlach, Kris Aquino, Willie Revillame, Angel Locsin, Neil Arce, TJ Trinidad and star cager James Yap.
TAPE Inc.'s Malou Fagar and Antonio Tuviera were also tapped to be Baby Zion's godparents as well as TV5's Manny Pangilinan, Viva Entertainment's Vic del Rosario, Regal Entertainment's Lily Monteverde, director Carlo Caparas and host businessman Tim Yap as well as Tessa Valdes-Prieto.
Even Richard's siblings: Ruffa, Raymond, Tonton and Elvis were included on the list, among others.
Adding sparkle to the already glamorous gathering were the other stars who came to celebrate with the couple such as German Moreno, Bubbles Paraiso, Luis Manzano, Divine Lee, Phoemela Baranda, Isabel Oli, Cristalle Belo, Iza Calzado and Assunta de Rossi-Ledesma, among others.
Of course also present in the event are Richard's parents Eddie Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama as well as Sarah's parents Abdel and Esther Lahbati who looked very happy in all their photos with Baby Zion, who was actually born on April 29.
