Toni Gonzaga confesses that she initially got scared that her sister Alex might fall for model Daniel Matsunaga inside the PBB house.
Apart from staying true to herself and their family's values, another thing that made host-actress Toni Gonzaga proud of her younger sister Alex Gonzaga is the fact that she never fell in love during her stay inside the Pinoy Big Brother All In
During an interview after the recent launch of her seventh studio album titled Celestine, Toni admitted she was particularly wary about Alex falling for Brazilian-Japanese model Daniel Matsunaga. "Kasi siyempre gwapo, eh single pa. Single si Alex. Eh nakita ko di niya pinapansin, panalo," remarked the reality show's host.
The reason why she doesn't want Alex to get romantically involved yet, according to Toni, is the fact that she's still "immature."
The Buzz host was quick to explain though that she has nothing against the hunky model. If anything, she thinks he is "mabait din naman." "Kaya lang kasi kapag na-in love ipi-play up ng PBB, ifo-focus nila doon tapos gagawan ng mga date. Siyempre kapag ginawan mo ng ganoon sa isang bahay na malayo sa magulang, malayo sa lahat, akala niya 'yun na ang totoong feeling. Dito nga lang sa labas akala niya totoo na ang isang feeling ng tao, paano pa sa isang environment na sila lang," Toni explained.
Apparently, Toni's worries about Alex is backed by then fact that, according to her, the latter is the type to fall for someone quite easily. "Si Alex hindi siya masyado sa itsura, basta kapag kapag nagustuhan niya kaagad 'yung personality at nag-click sila."
However, Toni underscored that she won't say a word if, say for instance, a former PBB housemate would pursue her sister outside of the house. "Okay lang 'yun, 'wag lang sa loob just because it's a different set up," she stated, adding that, "It's a game. It's a competition at the end of the day, so you don't know the intentions. Hindi mo alam."
Despite her apprehensions, Toni is grateful that her sister's stint inside the famous house has changed her in a good way. "Thankful ako sa
whole experience niya na ito
. Of course, she matured a lot, she has grown. Marami siyang natutunan. Nakita natin na kapag mali siya, marunong siyang mag-
confront niya 'yung mga tao
instead of talking behind their backs.'Yun
I am very proud of her doon sa aspeto na 'yon kasi ganoon siya talaga sa totoong buhay
," she said.
PBB house guest Alex was supposed to leave the PBB house last week. However, both she and Kuya decided to extend her stay despite the risk of failing their weekly task which lead to them not having a budget for this week.
Toni admitted that while this decision made her sad, she understood why her sister probably made the choice. "Kasi alam ko kaya niya gusto 'yon kasi walang rules, far from our rules, far from our curfew. Lalo na sa akin na laging 'Nasaan ka na? Sino ang kasama mo? Anong ginagawa mo diyan?' Lagi akong ganon sakanya eh," she claimed.
Alex is set to exit the PBB house tonight.
"I'm so excited. I can't wait... Kasi this is the first time na separated kami without communication, I think that's the hardest," Toni happily quipped.
