Deniece Cornejo showed up at Camp Crame this afternoon to surrender and face the Serious Illegal Detention charges filed by actor Vhong Navarro. In a report by Edwin Sevidal of DZMM, the model-business woman was accompanied by her lawyers and some relatives and was wearing a black shirt and a blue cap, which concealed her face from the media.
According to Philippine National Police Chief of Public Information Superintendent Ruben Sindak, they were surprised by Deniece’s sudden appearance at their office and she was immediately taken to PNP Chief Gen. Alan Purisima. She was later brought to the Women and Children’s Protection Desk at the Criminal Investigation and Detection group to undergo a booking procedure. Sindak said he still has no information as to where Deniece will be detained.
