Michelle Vito admits she is looking forward to her upcoming projects this year.
As part of the cast of the premiere episode of the legal drama anthology Ipaglaban Mo,
Michelle Vito plays the role of Micmic, a teen whose mother working as a nanny accidentally gets killed by her seven-year-old ward. Micmic chooses to seek justice for her mother even though the accused is only a minor.
Michelle said she is having a good year with her career so far. “It's okay naman, madaming blessings ngayong 2014 tapos ngayon talaga focus ako sa school ko kasi I was a graduating student tapos after naman nun super taping na ako sa Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon, yung kay Ate Bea Alonzo,” she told Push.
The 16-year-old actress admitted she feels challenged by the characters she has been given this year, especially in her new soap.
Michelle said she decided not to enroll as a freshman in college this year to focus on work. “No vacation kasi wala talaga akong plan kasi eh. Yun college ko tuloy yun I want to do business.
From playing one of Daniel Padilla's barkada in the Star Cinema Metro Manila Film Fest entry Pagpag last year, Michelle said she has been getting more and more challenging roles like the one she did for Ipaglaban Mo’s premiere episode.
Michelle also talked about her closeness to fellow Star Magic Circle batchmates Liza Soberano and Julia Barretto. We first met nung practice ng cotillion nung Christmas Special. Si Julia naman we became friends nung first Star Magic Ball ko last 2012. Pero yung naging close talaga kami is yun batch launching namin kasi as in halos everyday dun magkakasama. Sa isang linggo four to five days kaming magkakasama sa talagang bonding kami. Lahat kami dun talagang naging friends. We text each other and we see each other. Si Julia pag niyakap ka niya talagang babaliin niya yung buto mo to the point you can’t breathe (laughs)!” she said.
Although her current BFF is Liza, Michelle said she goes out on group dates with their parents as well. But this does not mean they are allowed to date already. “No. Maybe by 21? 20 plus, after college!” she said.
Aside from similar taste in fashion, Michelle said she and Liza also have the same celebrity crush at the moment. He's super cute talaga as in super mega uber (laughs),” she said.
Watch Michelle Vito on Ipaglaban Mo this Saturday, June 7 after It's Showtime on ABS-CBN.
