Mon Tulfo on Claudine Barretto: 'Dapat unawain mo ang babae, meron pang diperensya sa pag-iisip'

052614-mon_main.jpgVeteran journalist Mon Tulfo and embattled actress Claudine Barretto have let bygones be bygones two years since they made headlines for figuring in a brawl at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3.

This was confirmed by both camps in a taped interview aired on "The Buzz's" Sunday report.

"Actually nakapagusap na kami ni Kuya Mon. Nung una palang sinabi na sa akin ni Kuya Mon na hindi naman daw siya galit sa akin. Humingi rin siya ng pasensya at ako rin ganon sa kanya," said Claudine.

The columnist-host for his part, confirmed the former box office actress' claim saying that he has forgiven Claudine long ago adding that, "Dapat unawain mo ang babae, meron pang diperensya sa pag-iisip. Dapat nga 'yan kaaawaan at unawain."

Recall that their airport scuffle billed "Thrilla in NAIA" which was supposedly sparked when Mon saw Claudine allegedly berating an airport ground crew due to the offloading of their baggage from Boracay. The altercation led to a legal battle involving grave threats for the alleged threats made by the younger Tulfos towards Claudine and estranged husband Raymart Santiago, and grave coercion, and physical injury charges filed by the eldest Tulfo.

"Wala na, hindi na ako nag-a-attend ng mga hearings, pinatawad ko na nga sila lahat. Pangalawa, wala akong tiwala sa hustisya natin," said Mon about the cases he filed against the couple.

But Mon didn't mince his words in saying that he would "appreciate" an apology from Raymart and Eduardo Atillano, the couple's friend who also got involved in the scuffle, "bilang mga lalaki."

Rumors of their reconciliation swarmed last week after Claudine posted a photo of her with Mon's younger brother Raffy Tulfo and her counsel Atty. Ferdinand Topacio.

"I don't know how it started na parang humingi kami ng pasensya sa isa't-isa na kung nasaktan man namin ang pamilya ng isa't-isa hindi na importante kung sino ang unang nagsabi what's important is napaka mabuting tao pala ni Raffy," explained Claudine.

Raffy, via a phone interview, clarified that their meeting was arranged by Claudine's counsel who happens to be his best friend,

"Sinabihan niya ako if it's okay na isama niya si Claudine sa isang meeting namin and maganda siguro kung magkabati bati kayo. Sabi ko 'Oo nga siguro.' Kung nagkaroon kami ng paguusap of course ito ay dahil nag-reach out siya sa akin at nag-sorry at ayun nagkapatawaran. Okay 'yun," Raffy narrated.

As for his younger brother's reconciliation with Claudine, Mon interestingly surmised that Raffy merely did it to placate the actress.

"Natatawa ako kasi kilalang kilala ko si Raffy, 'yung tawa niya, 'yung ngiti niya parang nakakaloko. Sinakyan-sakyan lang niya si Claudine," he said.
