2NE1 says they are happy to be celebrating their 5th anniversary in the Philippines
051914-2ne1_main.jpg2NE1 members CL, Minzy, Dara, and Bom attended an open presscon for their All Or Nothing tour at the Shangrila Plaza on Friday, May 17. The Korean pop stars were welcomed by the members of the press and their fans who flocked to the event.

Dara, more popularly known as Sandara Park in the country, remarked that she is truly elated by the warm welcome that their group has been receiving from the Filipinos. She added that they are happy to be celebrating their fifth anniversary in the country. 

“Masaya kami na dito kami nag-celebrate ng aming anniversary. Maraming saalamat sa inyong lahat,” Dara said. She added that she truly misses her fans in the Philippines. “Na-miss ko kayo sobra. Ang galing ng pag-welcome niyo sa amin. Ito ang hinihintay ko talaga,” Dara said.

Group member CL remarked that she truly appreciates the Filipino fans’ efforts. CL said that she is excited to perform their new track Come Back Home on their concert as a treat for their supporters.  “We’re so blessed, thank you for showing up [today]. Well we’re very happy to be here and finally we get to perform come back home. Are you guys ready?” she said. CL added, “Right now is our favorite moment. We love you so much. Thank you so much.”

Members Bom and Minzy also shared their favorite songs that they would love to perform for their Filipino fans. Minzy shared that she likes their song “Crush”. Boom shared, “I like all the songs but maybe ‘Missing You.’”

When asked about what makes their group distinct from the other Korean girl groups, Dara commented, “Sa tingin ko iba ang 2NE1 sa ibang girl group kasi unique kami iba yung music namin at dahil sa inyo yan mga Blackjacks (the term for the 2NE1 supporters).”

CL stated that they would love to guest star in a TV show in the Philippines. “We want to come out in some TV shows here, well anything yes.” Dara suggested, “Maybe ASAP.”

Dara who rose to fame in the Philippines via Star Circle Quest before being part of the girl group remarked that they would love to be back in the Philippines soon. “Maraming salamat sa pagpunta niyo. Maraming salamat sa pagsuporta niyo sa amin. Babalik kami dito. Mahal namin kayo,” she said.
