Binasa ng Queen of All Media ang isang pahayag na aniya ay mensahe na hindi lamang galing sa kanya kundi galing din kay Mayor Herbert. Ayon kay Kris, ilang ulit niyang binasa ang pahayag kay Mayor Herbert at pinagtulungan nila ang ilalagay doon sapagka’t “partners” sila. Sa sulat sinabi nila na pitong taon na ang nakalilipas nang magkaroon ng gulo ang pagsasama nila James Yap at Kris bilang mag-asawa, apat na taon na silang hiwalay at dalawang taon na silang annulled. May long-term girlfriend na din diumano si James. Sinabi din niya na sa apat na taon na yo’n wala siyang ipinakilala sa pamilya niya at sa mga anak niya sapagkat “there was nobody I was ready for.” Sinabi diumano ng kanyang mga kapatid na kailangan munang maging buo at ganap ang pagkatao niya at nakinig naman siya kahit na “painful and lonely” ang paglalakbay na tinahak niya sa apat na taon na iyon. Nakakatuwang paglalahad ni Kris na dahil sa pagka-busy ni PNoy, akala diumano ni PNoy ay may gagawing project si Kris at Herbert para sa Quezon City. At “later that day” na lang nalaman ni PNoy na “permission to date Kris” pala ang hinihingi ni Mayor Herbert. Natawa diumano si PNoy at napahanga sa ginawa ni Herbert. Maging ang mga kapatid na babae ni Kris ay napahanga diumano kasi nagpapatunay lamang ito na malinis ang intensyon ni Mayor Herbert sa kanilang bunsong kapatid. Ngunit sinabi ni Kris na para magkaroon sila ng “chance at forever” mamabutihin nila na maging private ang kanilang “journey.” Kaya ayon sa aktres-host ang pahayag nilang iyon ang “una at huling pagkakataon na pag-uusapan ko si Mayor Herbert Bautista.” Hindi lamang daw ito sa kanyang shows at interviews kundi pati na rin sa kanyang mga posts sa social media.
