The dancer-actor is devastated with the passing of his wife Sheryl, who just gave birth to their first child a month ago.
Former Universal Motion Dancer and actor Wowie De Guzman tragically recounted how his wife, Sherryl Ann Reyes, mysteriously passed away. According to an interview on TV Patrol
, he said Sheryl had no serious illness before they rushed her to the hospital. It all started when she complained of pain in her legs. “Sobrang bilis talaga, di namin alam talaga anong nangyari.
Wowie added Sherryl only suffered from diabetes during her pregnancy but they managed to control it. And even though she experienced hypertension, it bought no complications.
However, when they got to the Pampanga Medical Specialist Hospital, Sherryl already had no pulse.
Although devastated, Wowie believes that there is a reason why Sherryl had to pass away at the age of 27.
Wowie also admitted he has to be tough for their daughter, Alexandra Rafaelle, who is only a month old.
TV Patrol’s Mario Dumaual managed to get a hold of one of Wowie’s close friends, Gladys Reyes, one of his co-stars in the original Mara Clara. The actress described Wowie’s wife as someone who is full of life. “She’s full of life kapag magkakasama kami.
Gladys, Judy Ann Santos and other celebrities close to Wowie are praying for his family.
Gladys already went to Pampanga and advised Wowie to remain strong despite the misfortune. “Magpakatatag siya. Kailangan-kailangan yun sa baby. Mahalin niya. At nandito kaming mga kaibigan niya to support him.”
Sherryl’s remains are currently at the United Church of Christ in the Philippines in Sta. Catalina, Lubao, Pampanga. The burial date has yet to be determined as Sheryl’s family is still waiting for the arrival of their relatives from abroad.
