Despite police’s accounts of businessman Cedric Lee and Simeon “Zimmer” Raz’s alleged evasion of arrest which included them reportedly hiding at a coconut plantation for a night, their counsel, Atty. Howard Calleja, maintains that his clients are out to face the cases against them squarely.
“We will face this case squarely. Nakikita naman na there was a voluntary surrender on the part of the client as far as Cedric and Zimmer are here andito sila,” said Calleja in a taped interview aired on Buzz ng Bayan on Sunday.
He added, “As for the others, tignan nalang po natin.”
What matters as of the moment is that his clients were treated accordingly as they arrived in Manila in the morning April 27.
How do they plan to approach the arrest of his clients?
“We are confident with the innocence [of our clients].
Navarro, for his part, quickly learned of the arrest and was nothing but grateful to all the individuals who made it possible.
‘Yun po salamat po sakanila,” said Navarro in a taped interview aired on the same Buzz ng Bayan episode.
