It’s never too late to get that beach body you've been wanting to have. Here are Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles host Iza Calzado's five easy tips to get started.
1. Make a decision
According to Iza, embarking on a healthy lifestyle always starts with a decision. "Magdesisyon ka. Magdesisyon ka muna. Sabihin mo na 'Gusto kong gawin ito.'"
2. Set your goals
"Maybe you want to lose five pounds or ten pounds or you want to do a 5K run. Kasi it depends on what your goals are. It could be health-related, fitness-related, vanity-related, I don't know but it's up to you to set goals," Iza said.
3. Stay motivated
Iza shared that having a goal allows someone to stay motivated despite going through the hard yet healthy path.
"'Yun din kasi sometimes. What I've learned throughout the years, when I don't have goals, I tend to go relaxed on whatever it is that I do. So the minute that I set goals, nagkakaroon ng motivation," she shared.
4. Cut on carbs
Pinoy's rice diet, according to Iza is highly detrimental for the health. "It's really best to cut down on carbs. Kasi we do take in an excessive amount of sugar and carbs, although I still take carbs, but I really try to minimize," she advised.
5. Stick to whatever works for you
At the end of the end of the day, different goals and motivations yield different results so whether you want to be small like most triathletes or lean like most crossfitters. Iza said it's always best to do what works best for you may it be in choosing your workouts or your diets.
