Julia Barretto says she wants to be a businesswoman someday

042214-julia_main.jpgAs one of the busiest teen stars in showbiz today, Julia Barretto said she is glad to still have quality time spent with her family. “Madami pa akong family time. Nakapunta pa kami sa house ni mama Gretchen (Barretto) when they just got back from London. You just really have to find time kahit isingit mo yan sa busy schedule mo, kung gusto mo talaga sila makita, you’ll find time. Or they’ll come to me kung saan yung work ko. I like to stay at home and rest with my family kasi that’s the only time I get to catch up with them and that’s what I don’t get to do especially when I’m working. I like to watch movies, I like to eat, just everything, we like to travel, we like going to the beach, just those simple stuff,” she said.

The actress said as early as now she is learning to handle her finances. “Personality ko na talaga na medyo kuripot ako (laughs). Actually kuripot talaga ako. I’m so scared to spend unless I know that it’s really what I want. You’ll know that you want it if you keep going back to it di ba? I feel kasi that there’s so many things that I want when I’m older na kaya alam ko na I want to save it. Pero siyempre dapat may investments rin and my mom’s slowly teaching me that. I trust my mom so hina-hand ko sa kanya yung mga investments, yung mga ganung stuff, money stuff (laughs). Siyempre nag-agree kami ni Mommy na I’m going to save yung lahat ng naipon ko sa endorsements. Kasi pang-future ko na yun habang I’m still under her care and her home, I can still save up pa naman. So siguro the things that I want to buy, siguro mangagaling na yun sa mga mall show, mga tapings, ganun,” she shared.

After turning 17 last March, Julia said she does not forget to treat herself to small gifts for a job well done. “May prize ako. (laughs) Sinasabi ko sa Mommy ko, ‘I deserve a prize!’ (laughs) like let’s say a bag or a pair of shoes, what girls usually like to buy. I give myself a prize,” she added.

For the future, Julia said she wants to achieve more things inside and outside of showbiz. “It’s actually my dream to have my own business like a clothing line or franchise a restaurants like Jollibee. Besides being an actress I really want to be a businesswoman also but there’s still so many things I want to achieve in this business like ten years, twenty years from now I still want to hopefully be acting in movies, making more TV shows and achieving awards. I want to be an actress and businesswoman at the same time hopefully. School is a must. I cannot not do it,” she shared.

When it comes to looking good, Julia said she does not have any big diet secrets. “There are times siguro where I have to watch what I eat, proportion lang pero don’t deprive yourself from good food, ang sarap kumain, yung Yum burger ang sarap sarap (laughs),” the Jollibee endorser said.
