Sharing love notes and happy photos on their respective Instagram accounts is Aiza Seguerra and Liza Dino’s way of letting each other know how much they treasure one another. In an after the Mirabella Grand Press Conference, the two said being so “public” with their relationship wasn’t something that they planned.
"We are public not because gusto naming maging public 'yung relationship namin. Kasi kapag nagpo-post kami ng Instagram sa isa't isa, dedication namin yun para sa isa't isa," Aiza explained.
Liza, for her part, shared that their social media posts actually display their "competitive" sides. "Parang competitive kaming dalawa, 'Ah, nag-post ka ng ganyan, ha. Ako rin magpo-post.'" She related, adding that it works for them so much because "Kasi ganoon pala yung feeling kapag araw-araw sinasabi mo sa taong mahal mo yung nararamdaman mo at that very moment."
The couple who have been living under one roof since May last year shared that it was a decision brought about by their desire to conveniently spend more time with each other. It also meant explaining things to Amara, Liza's six-year-old daughter with her non-showbiz ex-husband.
"We made sure na she understands na hindi kumonti yung mga taong nagmamahal sa kanya kundi dumami pa. Sa mom side niya, sa dad side niya. And now she has another side, my side. So, kumbaga dumami, mas masaya," Liza said.
Admitting that her daughter has questions, Liza clarified with Amara her relationship with Aiza right from the get go. "Umpisa pa lang, pinaintindi ko sa kanya na hindi ibig sabihin pinapalitan na ni Aiza yung role ng dad niya," the Mirabella actress revealed.
She recalled one of her conversations with her daughter and shared, "I tell her, 'You can only have one dad, pero puwede ka to have more than one parent. Kasi ang parent, ang ibig sabihin noon, yun ang nagpro-provide, nagmamahal sa 'yo, binibigyan ka ng care. And it doesn't necessarily have to be your biological parents.'"
Even Aiza had her fair share of explaining to Amara. "We sat down with her also and she asked and I knew that time medyo ano pa siya... I talked to her. I said to her, 'You know what, I will never replace your dad. But I want you to know that even if you are not my real daughter, I love you the same.' Kumbaga, yun lang, we always shower her with love," she said.
Lastly, Liza and Aiza, who got engaged last February and are set to tie the knot in the US later this year added that Amara actually approves of their upcoming wedding and actually thinks that they are going to be a "good family."
