Diego Loyzaga reveals reason for temporary showbiz hiatus
041814-Diego_main.jpgWhile many agree that his career would have been further along had he not left, young actor Diego Loyzaga has no regrets leaving the country a bit for Australia.

"Marami ngang nagsasabi sa akin na sayang na nawala ako, pero sabi ng parents ko mas imporante na unahin ang pag-aaral. Which they are completely right, dapat nga talaga tapusin ko ang pag-aaral," Diego related in an interview during a recent fashion show with Jane Oineza, Ella Cruz and Nash Aguas.

According to Diego, he's thinking of pursuing fine arts in college soon. "Balak ko pa nga pagsabayin ang college ko sa La Salle or sa UP sa showbiz pero we'll see how it goes first after this show. Gusto kong makatapos muna ng buong college life. Kasi iba rin ang nakaranas ka ng regular college eh," he said.

However, he promised to give showbiz 100% of his efforts. “Kung mag-aaral ako, 100 percent akong mag-aaral. Kung magso-showbiz ako, 100 percent ako sa showbiz. So, ngayon na nabigay ko na ang time ko sa pag-aaral, showbiz naman," he said.

Both his parents Teresa Loyzaga and Cesar Montano are support supportive of his endeavors. "She comes back every three months. Nung nawala ako ng medyo matagal it's because I went there for citizenship reasons. I had to go back there for a while kasi hinahanap ako ng embassy," Diego revealed about why he flew to the Land Down Under.

Since he stayed in Australia for a while, many said that he had been left behind by his Growing Up contemporaries Teen King and Queen Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo and Ikaw Lamang star Julia Montes, career-wise. “It’s nothing. Everything happens for a reason naman po eh. I’m so happy for them. Seryoso," he said, shrugging off the comparisons./

Diego said his own time will eventually come saying that, “Sana nga nakasabayan ko sila, pero nauna sila. Okay lang, we will have our own time naman eh. We all have our own time to shine. So, right now, nauna sila, I’m very happy po.

Meanwhile, Diego was also asked how his father was faring these days after facing a controversial split with his now estranged wife Sunshine Cruz with whom he has three daughters.

"Good, good. My Dad is a very religious man. Anak ako so siyempre typically sasabihin ko he's a very wise man. He knows what he's doing. Alam niya po ang ginagawa niya," Diego stated.

Diego claimed that he makes sure to check on his father every once a while. "Like I said he's very religious, he's giving back and I like seeing that in my Dad. He really gives back to everybody, " he ended.
