Robi Domingo also speaks up about Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles cheating controversy: 'They are the biggest loser in a different sense kasi dinaya nila ang sarili nila eh.'
Kapamilya host Robi Domingo didn't even bother to mask his despair over the recent controversy that happened on his show Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles.
During the fitness reality show's tearful April 5 episode, Christian and Ralph of the team Du Brothers and Patrizha and Cathy of team Showbiz Royalties confessed that they brought banned items into the camp such as cigarettes, junk food, and slimming tea to help them lose extra pounds.
Shamed and disappointed by their own actions, the four voluntarily dropped out of the tilt leaving the other contestants as well as their fitness coaches Jim and Toni Saret utterly dismayed and disappointed.
“I feel for the coaches, I feel for the staff who really gave their time and effort to find the worthy contestants who will enter the camp,” said the Biggest Loser co-host who is now a returning VJ on MYX Philippines during an interview at the MYX VJ Search Finals at Alphonse Bistro on Tuesday.
He added, "You know, Biggest Loser is not just a reality show. It’s a place where you find yourself and transform yourself."
Also speaking for his show co-host Matteo Guidicelli, Robi even added that they are "really angry" over what the contestants did. "Because of all the places, of the things that you’ll be doing there inside the camp, bakit ganon? Why would you do that? You were given free meals coming from Sexy Chef, and Sexy Chef is not cheap. Being trained by the best professionals in the country, and we’re making it fun for you guys. So why...where do you get the [nerve] to do those things?" he wondered out loud.
He added, “Parang ang akin lang, mahiya naman, mahiya naman. Kasi ‘yong opportunity andon na, sayang.”
What they did, as the young host put it, makes them the "biggest loser in a different sense" because "dinaya mo ang sarili mo eh."
The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles' Bigating Finale will happen on April 26, Saturday.
While he was not present at Vice Ganda's party where the incident reportedly took place last March 30, the Biggest Loser host claimed that he is aware of the rumors and that he has actually spoken with Sam recently.
“I just came home from Cambodia and people were telling me na, ‘your friend Sam Concepcion ganito nangyari sa kanya sa party,’” Robi related.
“The thing is, I’m not in the position to comment on that one, I don’t know what happened really. If I was there, I will tell you my thoughts about it. For me the best thing to do is wait for the comments coming from Sam Concepcion, Jasmine Curtis-Smith," he said.
While Anne has already denied the reports, Robi's interesting advice to Sam seemed to hint otherwise. “Sabi ko sa kanya just let it go, and if you really love the person, then just... you know, be silent about it? Not naman silent, I guess. But just be firm about your decisions."
