Enchong Dee says that netizens should be more sensitive about what they post about celebrities.
Enchong Dee spoke up about the growing number of online bashers nowadays and how he has learned to deal with it. “In this day and age, we can’t disregard haters or bashers. People expect that celebrities can always be or will always be strong. But always remember, at the end of the day, we’re just like you,” he told StarStudio magazine during his interview for its March issue.
He stressed that celebrities are just like everybody else who could be offended or hurt so people should be mindful of what they post. “Kapag ikaw sinabihan ka na mayabang or ‘pag sinabihan ka na wala kang kwentang tao, masasaktan ka rin, ‘di ba? We’re not dolls, or we’re not stuffed toys na kahit ano’ng sabihin mo, kaya namin maging manhid,” he said.
Amid the growing number of online bullies, Enchong said he tries to remain steadfast and continues to persevere in the career path that he has chosen. After a very successful 2013, Enchong said he believes that this year will be a very promising one as well. He is set to headline an upcoming film with Erich Gonzales titled Once A Princess. He revealed that he will also have an upcoming TV project. “We haven’t discussed it yet since we’d like to focus on the movie muna. But I’m game and I’m excited,” he shared.
Enchong shared that his fans inspire in many ways that he wants to give that inspiration back to them. “I love my fans. Nagkaroon ako ng awakening na you have to be 100% to your fans all the time kasi hindi mo alam kung gaano ka-powerful ‘yung naibibigay mo sa kanilang inspiration in whatever they are going through.”
