John Lloyd Cruz personally wants another sequel for Laida-Miggy's love story.
Fans of Laida Magtalas and Miggy Montenegro, played by Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz respectively, may be in for a treat as the latter revealed that there are “pegs” for a fourth installment of their love story. It Takes A Man and A Woman,
the third installment to Laida-Miggy’s love story, was a roaring success as it dominated the box office in April of last year.
“Merong naka-peg, pero I think may gagawin siyang pelikula with Coco [Martin]. Marami kasing... may naririnig ako na part 4 daw, meron namang bagong istorya raw,” John Lloyd revealed during an interview at the Kapamilya Grand Comedy Presscon.
Personally though, John Lloyd said that he would want to work again with the Pop Star Princess for a film with a different storyline. However, he added that having a fourth installment for their movie is another milestone that he would be more than welcome to do.
"Parang ang sarap kasi, since we made history noong ginawa namin ang third installment. Kasi ito lang yung pelikula na rom-com na umabot ng three parts. And kung mabibigyan kami ng kapani-paniwala at magandang material para gumawa pa ng Part 4, then gugustuhin ko rin yun. Parang dadagdag siya sa naabot o narating ng aming pelikula,” he said.
Speaking of new projects, reports have it that many celebs not only from his home network but also those from rival networks have been raring to work with him. One of them was reportedly Jennylyn Mercado, the ex-girlfriend of John Lloyd’s In My Life co-star Luis Manzano.
"Kasi yung mga taga-GMA na ating kasama sa industriya, nakakagawa ng pelikula sa Star Cinema—si Marian [Rivera] at saka si Dingdong [Dantes]… You know, ngayon nabibigyan na ng pagkakataon. So, nakakatuwa siyang isipin na hindi na siya imposibleng mangyari,” he quipped.
Marian had her first Star Cinema project titled Kung Fu Divas last year together with Comedy Queen Ai-Ai de las Alas while her beau Dingdong has had a couple of films like She’s The One, One More Try, and Segunda Mano.
John Lloyd for his part has an exclusive contract with Star Cinema.
What can he say that a lot of stars are hoping to work with him? “Siyempre, salamat… kung ganun nga na gusto nila akong makatrabaho na hindi ko alam kung bakit. Siguro dahil hindi ako mahirap katrabaho,” he said with a smile.
