Despite being on the same soap, Meg Imperial and Ellen Adarna handle and look at things quite differently
Despite both being touted as today’s most desirable ladies, Moon of Desire
co-stars Ellen Adarna and Meg Imperial seemingly have a lot more differences than similarities other than their newfound label.
During their appearance on Buzz ng Bayan’s Sunday episode, Meg and Ellen displayed polar opposite outlooks on a few notable things.
First of which was whether or not they feel “objectified” as women now that they are being hailed desirable ladies, something which Ellen nonchalantly dismissed saying that, “for me not really, pero hindi.”
Meg on the other hand claims otherwise.
“Ako kabaliktaran ni Ellen kasi. Hindi naman ako nag-start as sensual. Nag-umpisa ako sa teenybopper na roles. Nung FHM lang siguro medyo nagkaroon ako ng confidence sa sarili ko na I can be sexy naman in a nice way. It doesn’t mean naman na sexy ka, kailangan mo maghubad in front of many people at ipakita mo sa kanila 'yung buong katawan mo. Hindi ganun,” she said.
While Ellen is willing to go “all the way” as far as baring skin in front of the camera provided that “maganda ‘yung script and it’s required,” Meg showed reservations and rationalized her stance.
“Kasi kung may talent ka naman hindi naman kailangan ipakita ang lahat for me. Hindi naman ni-launch para maghubad sa maraming tao. Sexy lang and sensual. Parte lang siya ng packaging, ng image pero pag-arte talaga 'yung gusto kong i-showcase sa mga tao,” she said.
Since they are both part of showbiz where bashers thrive in criticizing celebs, the two were also asked how they handle these kinds of people both online and offline and once again the two gave diverse responses.
“Ako deadma lang. Before sinasagot ko, [ngayon] ‘yaan mo na,” said the Cebuana model-turned-actress.
Meg on the other hand proudly shared that she responds to her bashers and for good reason.
“Ako naman kabaliktaran ulit, sinasagot ko in a nice way. Ako naniniwala kasi ako na… if they get to know me mag-iiba ‘yun eh kasi hindi ka nila kilala ng personal. Nakikita ka lang nila sa telebisyon pero hindi ka nila kilala ng personal pero kung makikipag-interact ka sakanila sometimes binibigyan mo sila ng opportunity to know you better kung sino ‘yung real Meg. Parang binabago mo ang impression nila about you,” said the Galema star.
Moon of Desire is set to premiere on March 31 on Kapamilya Gold.
