Speaking for the first time since her much-talked about airport proposal last March 20 in a taped interview with Cinema News which aired on Buzz ng Bayan’s Sunday episode, Bianca confessed that she and her cager boyfriend actually got into a big fight a week prior.
“Zero clue. I really did not expect it especially because siguro a week ago, we came pa from a big fight talaga. And the fight was my fault so akala ko sobra akong bad shot sa kanya. I really did not expect it sobra,” she said.
During the interview, Bianca also recalled how the proposal happened which even continued even when she got on the plane on her way to London for a short course on journalism and design.
“Yung unang guards that I passed, dalawa sila, meron silang two roses each. So may rose ako papasok ng airport. Pagkalusot ko sa x-ray, dalawa na naman na rose ang binigay. Sa reception area, the three girls na naghihintay doon, they had one rose each,” she said.
Uncertain if she had fallen victim to a nasty prank, Bianca said she even texted JC to ask if he had something to do about what’s happening to her at the airport.
“I kept on telling nga 'yung kasama ko na parang prank. Kasi ang weird. I checked in sa counter. Before I left, may nagbigay na naman ng rose. And even sa may bago mag Immigration, someone gave me na naman a rose. I messaged JC. Sabi ko ‘Hoy may kinalaman ka ba dito? Bakit ako may roses dito sa airport?’ I just thought parang he planned something sweet kasi matagal akong mawawala,” she said.
She continued, “Until somebody said I had to go out to verify. 'Yun na 'yun. Paglabas ko, grabe 'yung luha ko bumabagsak na lang. The girl na dapat may ive-verify daw akong baggage, binigyan ako ng tarpaulin. Binuksan ko, it said ‘Bianca please say yes.’ And when I turned around, my friends were there. JC and his parents were there. Wala na, sobra 'yung luha ko na talaga.”
Furthermore, she revealed that JC has already asked for her hand from her mother and siblings.
“Right after I said yes, ang una kong tinanong, ‘Oh my gosh does my mom know?’ It meant so much kasi naayos na pala niya lahat. Nakausap na niya mommy ko, ate ko, kuya ko, my friends. They had this one chat group na lahat sila nandoon. The Proposal 'yung title ng chat group nila. It was everything, the whole plan, the ring, the speech before he asked me, talagang beyond my wildest dreams, grabe,” blurted the Umagang Kay Ganda host.
In parting, the 30-year-old host-columnist shared that as she previously agreed with JC, their wedding might happen November or December this year.
