She underscored that she doesn’t want to rush things between the two of them while preparing for their future. “We’re just enjoying what we have right now. We’re both very busy and we’re both very young and he’s very supportive of what I do. Siya nga ‘yung pinakamalaking fan ng Annaliza kahit wala siyang naiintindihan, nanonood siya at parang I’m very thankful for that. We’re just getting to know each other more and preparing for the future,” she said.
She shared that they just used to be “mag-barkada” that it came as a surprise to everyone when they ended up together. “Barkada kami, wala, sobrang barkada lang talaga so it was a surprise for everyone.”
Her fiancé is pure Filipino who grew up in the US. “Taga Sacramento (California) po siya pero Pinoy po siya, Puerto Rican. Marunong siya ng ‘mahal kita’ at kung anu-ano pa.”
Denise admitted though that there was a time when she did not want to get married. “Kasi napaka-independent kong tao. Lahat pinaghirapan ko, every little thing that I own very independent ako and my parents taught me to be strong and I don’t know, I never thought of marriage before but the two of us for a very long time, basta pag-meant to be lang lahat. I really, really do love him,” she stated.
