Xian Lim is set to release his second album
020514-Xian_Main.jpgFresh from the box office success of his latest film Bride for Rent, singer-actor Xian Lim is set to release his second album soon. Xian excitedly shared this news in an exclusive interview with Push.com.ph at the victory party of Bride for Rent, which has raked in P300 million.

According to Xian, his next album will probably be out by the end of this month while he waits for his project lineup for 2014. “More on originals rin ‘yung album itself so dapat nilang abangan. Meron rin sa akin na I wrote [on] my own rin, meron ring ‘yung iba-ibang composers na nagbigay rin for this one,” he shared. Xian said that his album has no title yet.

As to the sort of songs that his fans can expect from the album, Xian said there would be ballads and an exciting addition would be a little rock.

The 24-year-old Kapamilya actor released his first album titled So It’s You under Star Records in 2012 with five songs, including its carrier single “So It's You,” “Reaching Out,” “Oh Babe,” “Puso Kong Hibang,” and a song from his first soap together with Kim Chiu, My Binondo Girl titled, “Ako'y Sa 'yo Lamang.

He has also released a number of singles in 2012. Among them were a song from Aryana, “Iibigin Kita” and a few songs which got included on the soundtrack of Ina Kapatid Anak, his second soap with Kim, titled “Kung Di Sa 'Iyo at Alay Ko Sa ‘yo.”

While their victory party was meant to celebrate the box office success of their second film together, it was Xian who broached the subject that he and Kim would be doing separate projects for now. During the recently-concluded Kapamilya trade event, Kim was introduced as part of a new teleserye titled Ikaw Lamang opposite Coco Martin together with Julia Montes and Jake Cuenca.

Although visibly sad about this minor change in the KimXi onscreen tandem, Xian underscored that “It’s management’s decision eh, we really don’t have control over that.”

But despite the sad news, Star Cinema’s executive Malou Santos announced during the event that the two would be shooting their third film together by the third quarter of the year, news that surprised both Kim and Xian. “Siyempre thank you ‘wag silang bibitiw kasi meron pa. Sa lahat po ng sumuporta, mararaming maraming salamat po. Mahal na mahal po namin kayo and ‘wag po kayong bibitiw marami pa po ‘yan,” Xian said.
