Iza Calzado defends controversial music festival
022214-IZA_main.jpgBiggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles host Iza Calzado took to her Instagram account to express her dismay over the cloud of suspicion hounding the 7107 International Music Festival. Iza on Thursday night posted a photo of the concert grounds of what was touted as the biggest music event to date happening on Saturday and Sunday (February 22 and 23) in Clark, Pampanga.

"Much is being said about the festival but I hope we stop bringing down people who are trying to stage something that's never been done in our country," she began.

Iza admitted her "bias" for the event because she's friends with some of the organizers. "... I feel bad for them because if I were in their place I sure wish people would support it not destroy it," she reasoned.

As if to address those who have been criticizing the event, she suggested that the public quit passing any judgment yet about the event as well as the people behind it. "My proposal is that if and when people have solid proof, then let's go after these supposedly 'bad people' but since there is nothing proven (none yet and hopefully wala talaga) then can we just enjoy this concert and have lots and lots of FUN?!?" the actress said.

The said post has over 966 “likes” and 34 comments as of this writing, including one from one of the concert organizers Jon Herrera. "Thanks for the love @missizacalzado," he wrote. To which Iza replied, "Of course!!! We are here to support you. Hope the festival will be a success :)."

According to Iza she will be at the festival only on the second day due to prior commitments.

Questions about the festival's funding arose due to the high costs of mounting the festival and the business partnership of Jon with James Napoles, son of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles.
