Kris Aquino on James Yap: 'Peace, love, harmony, moving on'
021714-Kris1_Main.jpgKris Aquino revealed on her show “Abunda and Aquino Tonight’s” Feb. 17 episode that she purposely left for Singapore on the day of her ex-husband James Yap’s birthday so he and son Bimby could spend quality time together.

“I purposely was not here, Boy. I went to Singapore with Liz Uy. Nagbakasyon kasi I didn’t want to be here on the 15th because I didn’t want Bimb to feel na nasa bahay ako. Baka maging hadlang yun para sa desire niyang umalis at batiin si James,” she related.

The host also shared that James sent her a text message on her birthday, which took her by surprise.

“Nagulat ako on my birthday on the 14th, hindi ko ito na kwento sa inyo, James actually texted me and greeted me.  Dedma sa PPO (laughs). Sinabi lang niya na, ‘Happy birthday Kris. Thank you for being the best mom to Bimby.’ Di ko alam ang number niya, Boy. So I said, ‘Who’s this please?’ And then sinagot ako 3 hours after, ‘James.’ And then nagreply ako, ‘Yap?’ Sorry di talaga ako sure. Tapos after that sabi niya, ‘Yes. ‘ So sabi ko alagaan mo yung dalawang bata. And please huwag mong awayin kasi building bridges to ngayon,” she said.

Kris told her co-host and friend Boy Abunda how she felt happiness seeing her Josh, Bimby and James enjoying each other’s company.

“Honest to God, when the yaya was sending me all the pictures nung silang tatlo magkakasama, nung tinignan ko silang lahat Boy, and this is in Singapore, naiyak ako, sa totoo lang. Kasi parang it took so long to reach this point for both of us. And it took so long for me to be comfortable already. Siguro all it took was for James to acknowledge na naging mabuting nanay talaga ako kay Bimby. And nun binigay niya sa akin yun, handing-handa ako na ibigay sa kanya na magkaroon sila ng magandang relationship ,” Kris added.

As for Bimby’s handmade birthday card for James with the message, “I wish you would get married soon,” Kris divulged that her son also told her a similar message early that day.

Tinanong pa nga niya kung ako pa nga raw ang nagturo dun sa ‘I hope you get married soon.’ Hindi, kay Bimb talaga nanggaling yun kasi nga we all have acceptance. And then Bimb told me something wonderful kanina, sabi niya, ‘Mama, because you brought me home my games, I want you to be happy you can already have a boyfriend but no breaking up. Di ba ang cute Boy, sabi ko yung six years old gusto niya talaga ng kaligayahan para sa parehong magulang kaya lang yun ang hihingi niya. ‘Wag mo na guluhin ha, na kapag papasok kayo sa relasyon ha, dapat yung for keeps,”  she related.

“Time heals,” was Boy’s statement to Kris to which she agreed to and replied, “Peace, love, harmony, moving on.”
