Coleen Garcia says Billy Crawford had hesitations at first about her role in #Y

Naikuwento ng dalaga how she prepares for her role.

Nakatulong yung mga script reading namin, I had time to really prepare for the character, and yung film kasi namin, it’s really about being natural with what we are doing.

Wala namang restrictions sa part ng Star Magic, tinanong nila ako kung ‘are you willing to do that?’ Ako kasi, sa akin if the scene is necessary for a project, gagawin ko, pero kung hindi naman kailangan, then hindi ko gagawin.

“But there are things here na first time kong ginawa and sa tingin ko nakatulong talaga sa pagportray ng character ko,” pahayag ni Coleen.

Nung una, nabasa niya yung script, tapos sabi niya, ‘Ha, are you sure you’re willing to do that, parang hindi ako sanay na ganyang yung role mo, tapos after naman the film, masaya siya. Siya yung first to congratulate me and he was the first to let me know how I did, and he’s very honest so I trust his opinion,” she said.

Inamin din ng dalaga na nahiya siyang hingin ang opinion ng boyfriend on how to execute her role in the movie.

“Nahihiya ako, eh. Pag si Billy nahihiya na ako. I don’t ask for advice. Saka mas generation ko ‘yon, eh (laughs). Iba yung generation ni Billy.

Sa movie kasi, yung character ko, may mga ginagwa siya na never ko pang ginawa before, so I asked the people who do it.

“My parents are very conservative, my dad especially, so I was really worried... I was looking at my dad the whole time we’re watching the film, and then quiet lang siya. I got scared, and then, at the end of it, he congratulated me and he told me na we did a really good job.

“He mentioned all of the stuff na talagang natuwa siya. So, if somebody of his age can enjoy the film, parang nakampante tuloy ako, na if my dad can enjoy it, i ma-enjoy ng ibang parents,” she said.
