Yeng Constantino reveals she won’t be spending a single peso on upcoming wedding

120314-yan_main.jpgIn an exclusive interview with Push.com.ph at the recently-concluded launch of her sixth studio album All About Love, Yeng Constantino revealed that she won’t be spending anything for her upcoming wedding to fiance Yan Asuncion. “‘Yung sa kasal wala kaming ginastos. Everything was just provided by God and sponsors. Talagang sobrang blessed talaga ‘yung wedding namin,” she revealed.

Even their honeymoon in the Maldives, Yeng said was a “gift” although she didn’t reveal who their sponsor was. Her wedding dress, which will be made by designer Albert Andrada, was also a gift.

The Pop Rock Princess is just grateful and in awe of all the blessings that their relationship has been receiving right from the beginning. “Sobrang grateful kasi hindi rin namin maisip eh. Talagang sabi nga, ‘di ba may scripture sa Bible na, ‘He who finds a wife, finds what is good.’ ‘Yun parang blessed ka, ‘yung sa akin may version ako, ‘He who finds a husband, find what is good,’” she said.

The “Ikaw” singer even added, “Sobrang I felt na grabe lang ‘yung hands ni God talaga sa relationship namin. He’s been blessing us since the beginning of our relationship. And ayun na-o-overwhelm lang talaga ako and ang kaya ko lang gawin is mag-pray at mag-thank you sa Panginoon dahil grabe ‘to.”

As a man who should traditionally be shouldering the expenses, does Yan approve of the fact that he won’t shell out a single peso? “Wala, wala siyang issue sa ganon. Parang kami; ‘Uy okay ‘yun ah free, apir. Uy free na daw ‘yung sounds, apir! Free din daw ‘yung food, sige food tasting tayo, apir!’ Parang everything nag-flow lang,” Yeng explained.

Now that they are all set for their wedding, Yeng clarified that they are currently gearing up for the life that they would be having after the ceremony. This, for Yeng, is an altogether different matter and one that they are currently spending their money on.

“Yes doon, share na kami doon. 50-50,” said Yeng referring to the furniture pieces that they are currently buying for their new home.

Yeng and Yan are set to tie the knot in Tagaytay on Valentine’s Day next year.
