Both Liza and Aiza addressed these critics via their Instagram account and asked for them to just be left alone.
Aiza's mother, Caridad Seguerra likewise defended her children's gestures in a taped interview aired on The Buzz on Sunday.
"Kung pulaan man wala tayong magagawa, 'yun nga napasakit na pulaan. Maraming nagagalit bakit daw ganon. Wala akong magagawa. Isa ako sa kga magulang na kahit ayoko dahil hindi ako ano sa ganong buhay pero kinaya ko dahil anak ko ang naliligayahan," she said.
Nanay Caring, as she was fondly called by Aiza is very well aware that "Hindi ko maibibigay ang kailagayahan niya."
Even she confessed to not being used to such kind of setup as well, Nanay Caring maintained that she isn't the type to end what is making her child happy.
"Ako naman kasi alam mo naman ang mga magulang, kahit sabihin mong meron siyempre tayong damdamin na parang hindi naman tayo lumaki na ganon ang kinagisnan natin. Pero as magulang talaga nandodoon na 'yung kaliayahan ng anak mo, bakit ko po sisikilin? Hindi naman kasalanang umibig," she ended.
Criticisms about the couple's romance swirled after rumors of their plans to tie the knot in the Philippines surfaced despite it's being illegal in the country for the time being.
