Lea Salonga and Sarah Geronimo battle for a ‘steal’ from Camp Kawayan

121314-casper_main.jpgOn this evening’s The Voice battles, Team Lea’s Karl Tanhueco and Nino Alejandro battled with the rock hit, “We Built This City.” With all of the judges preferring Nino’s performance over Karl, he advances to the next round.

Meanwhile, Team Apl’s ‘konteseras,’ Mecer Quiachon and Mackie Cao got paired up to sing Chaka Khan’s “Through the Fire.” The coaches, despite finding their duet a little messy, rooted for Mackie, who moves on to the Knock Out round.

Team Sarah’s Rosalyn Navarro and Demie Fresco battled with the Celine Dione-Barbara Streisand duet “Tell Him.” A majority of the coaches picked Demie with her simple yet powerful vocals. In the end, Coach Sarah also picks Demie to represent her team in the Knock Outs.

Lastly, Camp Kawayan’s Casper Blancaflor and Rence Lee Rapanot sang Radiohead’s classic song, “Creep.” Coaches Apl and Sarah chose Casper’s performance while Coach Lea picked Rence Lee. Bamboo agreed with Lea, so Rence Lee advances to the next round. Sarah attempts to steal Casper for her team but Casper chose the other “thief” who turned for her, Lea.
