Kris Aquino wants to play a mother role if she will star in a heavy drama movie.
After doing the horror film Feng Shui 2
, Kris Aquino said that she is open to doing a heavy drama movie if she will play a mother role.
"Tinanong ako ni Tita Malou Santos (Star Cinema’s Managing Director) nong Friday, 'Kris, do you want to do a drama next year?' Sabi ko 'Tita Malou at my core I am a mother so kung 'yung role is to be the mom of KathNiel (Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla), to be the mom of Enrique (Gil) or to be the mom of Kim Chiu, I would love to do it." She remarked that she could not imagine herself doing a heavy role that is far from her “core”. "Pero kung ilalayo mo ako sa kung ano ako talaga at my core, I don't think I would be effective."
Kris openly admitted that she is a stage mother to son Bimby."Totooo talaga umaamin ako na stage mother ako. Sa shooting days niya, tatlo lang ang na-miss kong araw because those days nagsho-shoot ako at today nandito ako. As much as possible inaayos nila ang schedule na I could be there. So yes, I'm really am a stage mother and yes nakialam talaga ako," she stated.
When asked about the secret behind her successful films, Kris shared “The directors I have worked with ‘yun lang naman talaga, ‘yun kasi I think lahat nong nagawa ko in those span of ten years they’ve all been with Star Cinema, three of those have been with direk Chito Rono, the first Feng Shui, Sukob and then now itong movie na ‘to (Feng Shui 2) so nauna kami more than anything ‘yon ‘yun eh nauna si direk with the concept.”
Kris also shared some tips on how she stays healthy in order to meet the demands of showbiz and her personal life. “Ako talaga I really get my eight hours ‘yun talaga and nagmo-morph ako, nagmo-monster talaga ako pag less than eight hours kahit puyatin ako ni direk [Chito] ng buong gabi at pauwiin niya ako ng six in the morning, ang call time naman 6 pm so nababawi ko talaga ang tulog ko, isa ‘yun . And number two, I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, I don’t party. And I drink five liters of water a day.”
