Isabelle says people have to know how to deal with negativity and not get affected by it.
Even if a bunch of her social media followers took her recent transfer to ABS-CBN negatively, newest Kapamilya star Isabelle Daza remains unaffected by such comments.
“Well I think there are always going to be haters kahit anong i-post mo. Last time I posted something about Thanksgiving parang ang daming nagalit na nagce-celebrate ako ng Thanksgiving,” she said during a live interview with The Buzz on Sunday.
Showing how unaffected she was, Isabelle even joked, “Parang wala naman daw tayong Thanksgiving dito sa Philippines, bakit I just wanna eat Turkey.”
Turning serious, Isabelle pointed out that, “Haters gonna hate. It’s a normal thing I think you just gotta deal with it.”
According to Isabelle she got this kind of mentality from her family who told her: “You can’t get all this love, without any hate.”
For her part, with her bashers all eyes on her now, Isabelle assured that she will
“just try to do my best to live up to all this pressure and expectations.”
Since her transfer came pretty surprising for a lot of her fans from her former home network, many immediately wrote her off as ungrateful of the network that built her career as well as the show that she’s been part of for over four years.
Rumors even went around that her colleagues from Eat Bulaga, where she’s one of the hosts for four years now, were shocked upon her departure.
To this, Isabelle explained, “I didn’t have a contract but I was there regularly for four years. Pano ba? I think I asked my co-workers that I was being offered by ABS and I was asking ‘What do you think?’ kasi siyempre komportable nako dito sa other network, sa Eat Bulaga and everyday may trabaho ako and siyempre they are like family to me. So sobrang hirap talaga ng desisyon to move.”
While she has been vocal in saying that she went over the other side of the fence in order to try on a new challenge, Isabelle admitted that the Kapamilya network’s huge roster of actors and actresses were also another factor.
“Siyempre ang daming guwapong leading men here who are also taller than me. Siyempre that’s what I need. Tapos ‘yun. Yeah nakaka-work ko si Dong [Dantes], I’m working with him now for a movie. ‘Yun maraming leading men here na I want to work with,” she noted.
In a previous interview, the daughter of Miss Universe Gloria Diaz named Gerald Anderson as one of the actors that she has long wanted to share the screen with.
This desire she shared started after watching Gerald’s internationally-acclaimed film On The Job.
After kong napanood ‘yun [gusto ko na siyang makatrabaho]. I saw how he really transformed as an actor. Ang galing galing niya doon. He was like a prisoner na brusko and I was like ‘wow he turned into a man!’ she said.
