After starring in Pure Love, Sunshine Cruz is set to be back on TV with ABS-CBN’s upcoming soap titled Oh My G! “I’m very happy and I really feel blessed kasi after ng Dugong Buhay, nag Galema ako then Pure Love and kakatapos lang ng Pure Love I have another project. I’ll be working with ‘yung mga iniidolo ko na mga artista na sina ate Janice de Belen, itong mga talented na bagong mga batang artista natin na sinaJanella (Salvador) so nakakatuwa lang and I am very excited kasi parang sobrang comfortable ko kasi ang daming staff pati director namin sa Pure Love na magdi-direk rin sa Oh My G!” she said in an exclusive interview with Push.com.ph.
Oh My G’s stars include Janella Salvador, Marlo Mortel, and Manolo Pedrosa. Sunshine had nothing but good words for the young stars. “Wellako naman nakikita ko it’s the first time that I met them personally andnakakatuwa na lumapit agad sila kasi sinasabi ng ibang senior stars na ‘yung mga kabataan daw ngayon wala ng masyadong respeto sa ibang mga matatandang artista pero ako nakikita ko they are very pleasant, they are very nice and I’m sure they will be doing their very best for this project kasi maganda ‘yung kwento,” she stated.
Sunshine remarked that she is currently happy professionally and personally. “I’m very, very happy. I couldn’t ask for more. Recently I won sa Star Awards na talagang nakaka-surprise, sabi ko nga ‘What more could I ask for?’ I have three talented children, hindi ako nawawalan ng trabaho, nagpro-provide si God sa akin. I quit for thirteen years sa showbiz, almost two years pa lang akong nagbabalik, na-recognize naman ng Star Awards ‘yung MMK (Maalaala Mo Kaya) ko so parang, ano parangI’m so blessed and I am just so happy.”
The actress said that she is not rushing when it comes to her love life. “Ang daming nagsasabi, ‘How come you’re so blooming? Are you in love?’Nakikita na parang ang aliwalas. It's because of the blessings coming my way parang I couldn’t ask for more. ‘Yung love life wala ‘yan, kung ibibigay sa akin ‘yan ng Diyos thank you, kung hindi okay lang din. I’m not in a hurry and I know in God's time darating ‘yan,” she said.
Sunshine admitted that she is not on speaking terms with husband Cesar Montano. But she hopes that they can iron things out for their kids anytime soon. “Hindi pa kami nagkakausap, ongoing pa rin ‘yung hearing namin for annulment pero hanggang don na lang muna and I think he’s happy, may nababalitaan ako na he’s inspired and happy. Whatever it isbasta kami naman ng kids masaya kami pag masaya siya and nakikita niya naman ng madalas ang kids, napapasyal niya pag Sunday kung gusto niya anytime pwede so ganon na lang and I’m praying that eventually, I’m praying na maging civil kami sa isa’t isa, if not friends kahit civil for the kids,” she stated.
